Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Eastside Studio LDN. By using our podcast studio or private office workspace ("the Studio"), you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use our facilities or services.

2. Scope of Services

We offer:

  • Podcast Studio Hire

  • Workspace Studio Hire
    Each booking must adhere to the specific terms outlined herein.

3. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

  • Minimum podcast studio booking: 2 hours. Additional time is charged at £0.40 per minute.

  • For office workspace, the minimum booking is 1 hour.

  • Bookings made within 48 hours of the session time are final and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

4. Deposit Policy

  • A refundable deposit of £150 is required for podcast studio sessions where no host or producer is hired.

  • Deposits will be returned only if no damages, overstays, or rule violations occur during the session.

  • Damages beyond the deposit amount will be billed separately.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

  • No shows or cancellations outside of the 48 hour notice are non-refundable.

  • We are Wnot liable for failure to perform due to events beyond your reasonable control (e.g., power cuts, strikes, pandemics, extreme weather).

6. Studio Rules

  • No smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances.

  • Only named guests on the reservation may be present.

  • Noise levels must stay within studio-decibel limits.

  • Treat all studio equipment and furniture with care.

  • Leave the studio in the condition it was found.

  • Clients must follow the guidance of the studio engineer if present.

  • The maximum number of individuals allowed in the podcast studio is two. Additional persons require prior approval.

7. Audio & Video Delivery

  • Final files will be delivered via Google Drive to the booking email.

  • Files are stored for 7 days only. After 7 days, they will be permanently deleted.

  • It is your responsibility to download and back up all files within the timeframe.

  • Notify us of any download issues immediately so we can assist.

8. Equipment Use

  • You may bring your own equipment, subject to studio approval.

  • We are not responsible for damage or loss to any personal equipment.

  • You are responsible for any damages to any of our equipment.

9. WiFi Usage

High-speed WiFi is provided for reasonable professional use only. Prohibited uses include:

  • Streaming or downloading illegal content.

  • Accessing adult or offensive material.

  • Engaging in spam, phishing, or other malicious activities.

  • Overloading the network (e.g., excessive file uploads/downloads).

  • Abuse of WiFi privileges will result in immediate termination of session without refund.

10. Session Management

  • Grace period: 10 minutes after the scheduled time.

  • Beyond 10 minutes, you will be charged for the next full hour.

  • If another session is booked immediately after yours, your session will be capped at the end of the booked time regardless of overruns.

  • If the session runs over and the studio is free, time may be extended at £0.40 per minute.

11. Content Standards

You may not record or create material that:

  • Is illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive.

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights.

  • Is defamatory, obscene, or offensive.

  • Promotes violence, hate, or discrimination.

12. Intellectual Property & Marketing Usage

  • You retain ownership of content created.

  • By using our services, you grant Eastside Studio LDN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use images, footage, and materials for marketing purposes.

  • If you prefer not to have your session used in marketing, please inform us in writing prior to your booking.

13. Confidentiality

  • We treat all client information and recordings as confidential.

  • We will not share your files or personal details without your written consent.

  • You are responsible for obtaining consent from any third parties featured in your recordings.

14. Limitation of Liability

Eastside Studio LDN is not liable for:

  • Loss or corruption of data

  • Personal injury or property damage

  • Delays or cancellations

15. Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold Eastside Studio LDN and its staff harmless from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the studio, equipment, or services.

16. Studio Availability

  • We reserve the right to alter availability or cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or reschedule.

17. Age Requirements

  • Users must be 18 years or older to make a booking. Minors may attend a session only with written consent and adult supervision.

18. Damage & Cleaning Fees

  • Clients are expected to leave the studio clean and undamaged.

  • Excessive mess or damage may result in loss of deposit and additional cleaning or repair charges.

19. Identification & Access

  • Valid photo ID may be required upon entry, if you cannot provide, we hold the right to cancel your booking without a refund.

  • Entry instructions will be sent following confirmed booking.

  • Misuse of access (e.g., giving entry to unapproved guests) may result in session cancellation without refund.

20. Insurance Disclaimer

We do not provide insurance for client property or created content.

  • Clients are responsible for arranging insurance coverage if needed.

21. Health & Safety

  • Please familiarise yourself with fire exits and safety notices.

  • Do not obstruct walkways, exits, or emergency equipment.

  • In case of emergency, follow provided instructions.

22. Right to Refuse Service

  • We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a session if:

  • Terms are breached

  • Behaviour is abusive, unsafe, or disruptive

  • Studio policies are not respected

23. Data Protection (GDPR)

We comply with UK GDPR regulations.

  • Personal data is used only for booking and service communication.

  • You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

24. Entire Agreement

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement. If any clause is deemed invalid, the remaining terms shall remain in full effect.

25. Updates to Terms

  • We may update these Terms at any time.

  • Material changes will be communicated via email or announced on our website.
