Can I view the studio before I book?

Yes. We offer free studio viewings. You can request either a virtual tour or arrange an in-person visit by contacting us through the Contact Us page, emailing eastsidestudioldn@gmail.com, or messaging 07754938361.

How can I make a booking?

All bookings can be made online through our booking system. Simply click the ‘Book Now’ button in the top menu. If you have any questions before booking, you can also contact us through the Contact Us page, email eastsidestudioldn@gmail.com, or message 07754938361.

How can I check the studios availability?

STUDIO RATES & DISCOUNTS

Do you offer any discounts for students?

Yes, we offer a 10% student discount. Please contact us through the Contact Us page, email eastsidestudioldn@gmail.com, or message 07754938361 and we’ll be happy to arrange this for you when making your booking.

What are the methods of payment available?

We currently accept payment through the following methods: Bank Transfer: You can transfer the amount directly to our account. Details will be provided once your booking is confirmed. Please use your name as the reference. Cash (Preferred Method): Cash payments are preferred and can be made on arrival. Stripe (Card Payment): Card payments can be made securely via Stripe. This option will appear automatically during checkout. PayPal: PayPal is also available as a payment option at checkout for a quick and secure transaction. If you're booking online through our website, both Stripe and PayPal will be shown as payment options during the process. For bank transfers or cash, just select "Manual Payment" and follow the instructions provided.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes, you can pay in cash and it’s actually our preferred method. Paying in cash on arrival keeps things simple and allows us to confirm your booking quickly and smoothly. Just make sure to bring the exact amount on the day of your session.

IN-STUDIO RECORDING

Will someone help me set up?

Yes. A producer will be present throughout the session to manage the recording, cameras and audio, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Each booking includes up to 2 hours of studio time, allowing sufficient time for setup, recording and wrap-up. Most podcasts typically run between 50 minutes and 1 hour 10 minutes, so the session length provides flexibility without feeling rushed. Make sure all bookings are 2h slots please. Thats the standard package you cannot have anything else.

Can I do a test run before my actual session?

Yes. A short test recording is carried out at the beginning of the session to ensure the cameras, audio and overall setup are working correctly and that you’re happy before the full podcast recording begins.

How is the podcast recording process managed?

Recording is handled using two professional Shure MV7X microphones and two camera angles, all routed through a Roland mixer to ensure clear audio and high-quality video. The cameras are automatically switched during recording, allowing the video to follow the active speaker and create a natural, professional flow. After the session, the recording is professionally edited to include audio clean-up, colour grading, branding and the removal of any unwanted sections. Your finished podcast is then delivered via secure cloud storage, ready to download and publish.

Can I bring a guest or co-host?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring a guest or co-host. Please note that we allow a maximum of 3 people in the studio at any one time, including the individuals recording. This helps ensure the space remains comfortable and safe for everyone.

What microphones are available in the studio?

We provide 2 x Shure MV7X professional podcast microphones, each set up on sturdy mic stands and ready to use when you arrive. These dynamic mics are designed to capture clear, high-quality audio while minimising background noise, ideal for podcasting, interviews, and vocal recording. No setup needed on your end, everything will be ready for you when you walk in.

What cameras do you use?

The studio is equipped with three professional Sony 4K cameras, mounted on adjustable tripods to capture high-quality video from multiple angles. Everything is set up and ready before your session to ensure a smooth recording experience and a polished, professional look on camera.

What lighting setup do you have?

The studio uses professional Godox SL60IID LED video lights, providing strong, consistent lighting that creates a clean and flattering on-camera look. Background lighting is also included to enhance the overall atmosphere and give the studio a polished, professional feel.

Is the studio soundproofed?

The studio is acoustically treated to ensure a clean, high-quality recording environment. Our microphones are designed to focus on your voice while minimising any ambient sound, so you'll experience a quiet and controlled setting ideal for podcasting or interviews.

Can I change the layout of the studio?

The studio layout is fixed and cannot be changed. If you would like to bring small props or items for your recording, please contact us beforehand for approval and we’ll do our best to accommodate where possible.

When and how will I receive my recorded files?

Once editing is complete, your finished video will be sent via a secure download link. The link will remain available for 3 days, so please ensure the files are downloaded and saved within that time. We stay in contact throughout the process and are happy to accommodate where possible if any flexibility is needed.

What happens if I need extra time beyond my booked slot?

Each booking includes a 2-hour session, which allows time for setup, recording and wrap-up. Sessions cannot run beyond the allocated time. If you think you may need additional time, please let us know in advance. Where availability allows, extra time may be added to your booking for an additional charge.

Are food and alcoholic drinks allowed or served?

We offer free tea and coffee during your session. You're welcome to bring cold food and covered drinks into the studio. Please note that alcohol is not permitted on the premises at any time, and we do not serve food.

Can I smoke in the studio?

No, smoking is not allowed inside the studio at any time.

Can I bring a pet or dog into the studio?

No, pets are not allowed inside the studio due to health and safety and to protect our sensitive recording equipment.

Can I bring my own equipment?

Our sessions are fully produced using the studio’s professional equipment to ensure a smooth and hassle-free recording experience. If you would like to bring additional items or small accessories for your session, please let us know beforehand and we’ll do our best to accommodate where possible.

Is the studio cleaned between sessions?

Yes, all equipment, chairs, and tables are thoroughly wiped down, and the floor is vacuumed to maintain a clean and fresh environment. We also make sure the space smells pleasant for every session.

Are toilets available?

There are no toilets on the premises, but facilities are available just a 1-minute walk away. We recommend using the toilet before your session to avoid it cutting into your booked time.

POST-PRODUCTION SERVICES

What's included in your audio editing and mixing services?

Our audio post-production is split into two segments: editing and mixing, each tailored to deliver clean, broadcast-quality sound. Audio Editing: £80 per hour of raw audio. Our editing services includes: - Volume levelling across speakers. - Background noise reduction (including hiss and hums). - Removal of plosives and harsh sounds. - Precision cutting of pauses, stumbles, or off-topic sections that you want removing. - Insertion of intros, outros, and jingles. Audio Mixing: £40 per hour of raw audio. Our mixing services includes: - EQ adjustment to enhance clarity. - Compression and reverb where appropriate. - Level balancing across speakers or multiple audio sources. - Final quality check for consistency across the full episode or clip. If you are booking audio editing alongside video editing or requesting short clips from your session we will create a custom package for you with a discounted rate. Do you provide video editing services?

Yes, we offer full video editing services at £80 per hour of video content. Our editing ensures your content looks sharp, professional and ready to publish. Our video editing includes: - Cutting and trimming footage for clarity and flow. Adding text overlays, name tags, and subtitles if requested - Inserting your intro, outro, branding elements, or transitions. - Colour correction and basic grading for a clean, consistent look. - Cropping and formatting for different platforms (e.g., widescreen, square, portrait). If you are booking audio editing alongside video editing or requesting short clips from your session we will create a custom package for you with a discounted rate. How does the post-production and editing process work?

You’ll need to provide an editing brief outlining any adjustments, preferences, or creative direction you’d like us to follow. Once we receive your brief, we’ll begin the editing process and aim to deliver the first draft within 5–7 working days. You’ll then have one round of revisions, which we typically complete within 1–3 working days. If you'd like to discuss your project in more detail before we begin, we’re happy to talk through what’s possible and advise on the best approach.

Can I request revisions after the initial edit?

Yes, all edits include one round of revisions. Once you’ve reviewed the first draft, you can request any changes or adjustments you would like. Revisions are typically completed within 1–3 working days, and we will work to ensure the final result meets your expectations.

Do you offer colour grading or visual enhancements?

Yes, we offer colour correction to ensure your footage maintains a clean and consistent look. We also apply subtle lighting adjustments to enhance the overall visual quality as part of the editing process. Simply mention this in your brief if you'd like it included.

Can you create short clips or highlights from my full video or podcast?

Yes, we offer a short-form content service designed for social media, highlights, and promotional use, ideal for boosting engagement and reaching new audiences. What’s included: - Subtitles - Background music (based on your direction) - Branded intro and outro segments - Clean, engaging cuts and pacing. - Formatting for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, X, LinkedIn, and Facebook. - AI-generated imagery to visually enhance clips and support your message. - Short video editing (This can include lighting, visual or sound effects when story telling, to enhance viewer engagement. - To ensure we hit the right tone, we recommend providing timestamps, reference examples, or a short creative brief. Pricing: £20 per clip – Clip only, no editing involved. £50 per clip – includes subtitles, music, intro/outro, AI visuals, and multi-platform formatting. Custom pricing available for content batches, advanced edits, or ongoing work. Final pricing depends on the length, complexity, number of platforms required and number of clips needed. When will I recieve my raw or unedited files?

If you've selected a producer or host, your raw or unedited files will be uploaded to our secure cloud system. You'll receive a download link within 24 hours of your session and will have 72 hours to download and save your files.

What is covered in an audio edit?

LOCATION

Where is the studio located?

Our studio is based on Whalebone Lane South, RM8 1BA, just near Asda and McDonald’s. Full address details and access instructions will be provided upon booking.

What are your opening hours?

We’re open 7 days a week, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Available time slots will be clearly shown when you make a booking.

What is the nearest train station?

The nearest stations are Dagenham Heathway and Chadwell Heath. From either station, you can take a direct bus to the studio or use a local taxi service for convenience.

Is parking available nearby?

Yes, free, on-street parking is available close to the studio.
